I learned from the best how to construct garments proficiently. I also took a few selected sewing classes, and honed my skills through a lot of practice! Over time, I was able to make countless outfits for myself and my small son.
In more recent years, I have focused on sewing items for the home. My favorite is window coverings—almost every window in my home is decorated with one of my creations. Since I cannot possibly keep everything I make, I started reserving space at area craft fairs, and have sold a lot of items in the past 15 years! Most recently, I have “returned to my roots” and started including accessory items such as vests and decorative neckwear in my display. Florals, home decor, window treatments, and accessories all come together for an interesting, eclectic mix at my fair booths. Read More
I spent over 40 years in the nursing profession, my "other life." Now, crafting and sewing full-time has been a relaxing and fun alternative to work in the world of healthcare.
I live in Kensington (located centrally in Connecticut) with my husband and cat. I work predominantly on Singer sewing machines, but also use a semi-industrial White, and an Alphasew industrial machine for leather.
